The Amanda Connection - This non profit, no-kill, tax exempt animal welfare organization is based in Connecticut. They rescue unwanted, abandoned, lost, feral, and pet cats, and find them loving homes. This link will take you to featured cats.

American Humane Association - Second Chance Animal Shelter was awarded one of ten Meacham Foundation Memorial Grants this year through the American Humane Association!! This grant allowed us to finish construction on and purchase equipment for our cat room!

Dog Adoption Network - DAN reports stories of animal welfare, legislative initiatives promoting animal welfare, stories of adoptions and other important animal rights issues.

Dog Breed Info Center - This site is excellent for those who want to know how a particular breed would fit their lifestyle. Each breed has a page dedicated to it that provides a photo of the animal, its description, temperment, height/weight, health problems, living conditions, exercise, life expectancy, and grooming. You can also search for the perfect pet based on the breed's demands for exercise, grooming, and space, just to name a few.

Petfinder provides extensive links to animal shelters around the country, and maintains a lost and found database as well.
