Second Chance offers
Rabies Vaccination and Microchip Clinics. These clinics will
help ensure that all pets get home safely and are protected
from rabies. Cats must be in carriers. Dogs must be on leash.

Note:
If the pet already has a rabies vaccine and this is a
booster, please bring the pet's Rabies Vaccination Certificate
as proof. The pet may be eligible for a three year rabies
vaccine if the vaccine is given within 9-12 months from
the date of the previous vaccine. |

Second Chance's
S.P.O.T. program is designed to assist pet owners afford the
cost of spaying or neutering their pet. This program helps
pets in need get spayed/neutered. It is not meant as a replacement
for regular veterinary care but as a resource to help those
that need financial assistance getting their pets spayed/neutered.
This program also includes a voucher program for low-income
residents that gives vouchers that are accepted at participating
veterinarians and through the shelter. Fee schedule and S.P.O.T.

Spay Sunday

Feral
Spay Sunday is a project of the Dakin
Animal Shelter, in collaboration with the Second
Chance Animal Shelter, the Homeless
Cat Project, the Greenfield Area Animal Shelter, and local
veterinarians. This is a FREE spay/neuter/release program
for feral (wild cats, not house pets) and barn cats, however,
donations are greatly appreciated. Traps are available to
borrow.
We provide
to all cats at the clinics:
- Free Spay or
Neuter Surgery
- Free Rabies
and Distemper Shots
- Free Treatment
of Fleas and Earmites
- Free Eartipping
to Mark "Graduates"
You must
provide: A safe place for the cats to continue to live.
All cats in this program must return to their original location
to live. No follow-up care is required after surgery.
