Second Chance Voted Best Veterinarian and Pet Services in Central Mass
Organization Takes Home Top Honors in Two Categories
Second Chance Animal Services had a big night at the Best of Central Mass awards ceremony at the DCU Center in Worcester. The organization garnered top honors in both the Best Veterinarian and the Best Pet Services categories of the annual awards sponsored by the Telegram & Gazette.
“We are truly humbled to be recognized in two categories this year,” says Sheryl Blancato, Executive Director. She attributes the awards to the hard work of the team of doctors, vet techs, staff, volunteers and the organization’s generous supporters.
“We are delighted to be acknowledged for our veterinary work this year” adds Blancato. “Second Chance changed their name to Second Chance Animal Services this year because we want everyone to know that we are more than just a shelter. Rescuing homeless pets across the country and finding them forever homes is only part of our mission. Second Chance aims to help pets throughout their lives to keep them in their homes. “
The organization offers full service veterinary care at their Wellness Center in North Brookfield and Community Vet Clinics in Worcester and Springfield. They offer a wide range of veterinary services including routine wellness, care for chronic medical conditions and lifesaving surgeries.
This is the second year in a row that they have won the Best Pet Services award. Second Chance is a nationally recognized organization that provides innovative programs and services to help animals. They help over 34,000 pets a year through adoption, low cost spay/neuter, veterinary care, community outreach, educational programs, training, a pet food pantry, and other services.
