How our adoption process works:
- All potential adopters must fill out our adoption survey so we can help you find the right pet.
- During high visitor times, we use a number system to hold your place in line. We assist as many people as we have staff to accommodate. This allows us to give you a better, personalized experience by having a dedicated adoption counselor.
- Adoptions are on a first come, first serve basis.

Satellite Adoption Facilites
For Cats:
Second Chance has satellite adoption facilities inside the Framingham and Northborough Petsmart stores. Cats can be viewed at any time the store is open. Our NEW adoption hours are every Thursday (Framingham), Friday (Northborough), and Saturday (both locations). Please note that cats at these satellite locations are are identified on the Adoption page. If you are interested in adopting one of these cats, you will need to fill out the adoption survey which is required for any adoption.
Our adoptable cats are located inside the Petsmart stores and are available for viewing at any time. To meet or adopt a cat, please during the adoption hours noted below.

For Dogs & Cats:
Our mobile adoption vehicle is on the road throughout the month with wonderful pets waiting to meet you. Stop by and say hi to some of our sweet pets looking for a new home! You can see which pets are on the mobile adoption unit on our Adoptable Cats Page. If you are interested in adopting one of these pets, please fill out the adoption survey required for any adoption.
