Legacy & Planned Giving

Future Paws Legacy Program

Tax ID 04-3490671

One of the most powerful ways to help pets now and for generations to come is to include Second Chance in your estate planning.  Your estate gift can carry forward the legacy of your compassion for animals.

You can leave a legacy in a number of ways.  Below you’ll find some ways to leave an estate gift, but there are many ways to create your personal legacy program.

The information provided below is general in nature and not intended as legal advice. Second Chance recommends that you consult with an attorney or tax advisor to determine which giving opportunity is best for you.

Leave a legacy with a bequest – simple to set up and can impact so many pets in the future.

You can leave a bequest to Second Chance Animal Services in a new or existing will. Second Chance recommends that you speak to an estate planning attorney.

Sample wording: “I give Second Chance Animal Services”, a non-profit organization with a principal place of business in East Brookfield, MA and Federal Tax ID 04-3490671 the amount of _____ for its general purposes.”

Passionate about a particular program or service of Second Chance?  You can designate your gift to that particular program.

Already have an existing will you don’t way to change?  If you already have a Will or Living Trust, and want to make a bequest to Second Chance Animal Services, this can be easily done by using a Codicil.  A codicil need not change the terms of your current Will or Living Trust.  It can simply add a new instruction or bequest.

Adding Second Chance as a beneficiary to life insurance or other holdings

You can add Second Chance as a beneficiary to your life insurance, 401K plan, IRA, stock holdings, etc. Just ask your insurance agent, IRA administrator, 401K administrator, or stock broker for a beneficiary form and name Second Chance Animal Services as the beneficiary.  Be sure to include our tax ID number 04-3490671 and our primary location – 111 Young Road, East Brookfield, MA  01515.

Already named Second Chance in your estate plan?
