How our adoption process works:
- All potential adopters must fill out our adoption survey so we can help you find the right pet.
- During high visitor times, we use a number system to hold your place in line. We assist as many people as we have staff to accommodate. This allows us to give you a better, personalized experience by having a dedicated adoption counselor.
- Adoptions are on a first come, first serve basis.

Satellite Adoption Facilites
Wednesday, March 20 – Expanded Satellite Hours: 2-7pm at Northborough PetSmart
For Cats:
Second Chance operates satellite adoption facilities in the Framingham and Northborough Petsmarts for adult cats. Cats can be viewed at any time the store is open. Adoption hours are Every Tuesday (Framingham), Wednesday (Northborough) and Saturday (both locations) of the Month or at our adoption center located in East Brookfield. Please note that cats located at these satellite adoption centers are noted on the Adoption page. If you are interested in adopting one of these cats, you will need to fill out the adoption survey required for any adoption.
Our adoptable cats are located inside the Petsmart and are available for viewing at any time. For adoption of cats, please visit the location during the adoption hours noted below.

Our mobile adoption vehicle is on the road throughout the month with wonderful pets waiting to meet you. Stop by and say hi to some of our sweet pets looking for a new home!
