When 26 Golden Retrievers, including three mother dogs and their 23 tiny, fragile, one-week-old puppies, were rescued from a breeder facing animal cruelty charges, they had never known love or safety. The mothers had likely never been outside or felt grass beneath their paws. They arrived at Second Chance timid and unsure, but thanks to your compassion, they were met with gentle hands, warm beds, and patient care.
The frightened moms and puppies got the time, medical care, and love they needed to heal and grow in amazing foster homes. Today, they are in loving homes with bright new beginnings. This was just one of the many rescues Second Chance helped with this year. Your support makes it possible for us to say “yes” when animals are in crisis. With your continued support, we can be ready to help the next one who needs us.
