Dr. Alex Hyman

Veterinarian

Dr. Alex Hyman is a native of Vermont but loves traveling and has lived in several states throughout adulthood. After obtaining BS and MS degrees in biomedical engineering at RPI in upstate New York, she spent several years working in pharmaceutical research in both Philadelphia and Boston, before obtaining her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 2022. Dr. Hyman’s first veterinary job was at a mixed animal practice in Washington state where she cared for both large and small animals, including sheep, goats, and chickens. She is now happy to be back in New England at Second Chance where she can provide affordable care to a wide variety of animals. When not working you can find her hiking, cycling, birding, and planning her next trip (18 US national parks and over 2 dozen countries so far!).
